Rotax Max Challenge

The Al Ain Raceway Kart Club (AARKC) is an organising body owned and operated by Al Ain Raceway International Kart Circuit.

AARKC is responsible for organising the UAE Rotax MAX Challenge which is the official National Karting Championship in the United Arab Emirates.


AARKC is primarily for Rotax Kart Owners and Members, offering the following semi-professional classes of racing:







  • AARKC Rental (15+ yrs, new for 2009)

    The AARKC Rental Class Championship Series is brand new for 2009 and is scheduled as a support race at each Rotax MAX Challenge round held at Al Ain Raceway. This entry level series is for drivers aged 16+ yrs and has been specifically formulated for individuals who are thinking about getting into kart racing but are not yet 100% committed to the investment required.

    Using Al Ain Raceway’s race-prepared Intrepid Optima chassis powered by a 13hp 4-stroke Honda engine, this evenly-matched class provides the perfect platform to discover kart racing without the accompanying expense.

    Full equipment is provided as entrants compete in between the pro’s with an opportunity to see how race days work.

Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF)

In addition to the trophies and prizes available throughout the season, the accolade that all competitors have their eyes firmly fixed on is the opportunity to represent the UAE at the annual Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.

The RMCGF is the single largest Karting event in the global karting calendar. Sanctioned by the CIK, this huge international meeting is the culmination of months of hard work from drivers, mechanics and organizers alike.

Drivers qualify for the RMC Grand Finals via the UAE RMC (or the National RMC of their home country). Drivers are selected on the basis of their performances both on and off the circuit, the ultimate reward being participation in the event which sees 216 drivers from over 50 different countries around the world competing for the title of World Champion in each of the following classes:
