GRAND FINALS NATIONS GET TESTING

The Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2011 is fast approaching, and it's not only Team UAE that are putting in the laps to prepare themselves. So far drivers from the USA, South Africa, Ukraine, Latvia, Russia, Canada, Spain and Italy have booked in and have been familiarising themselves with Al Ain Raceway's high-speed layout.

We have Birels, CRG's, Hasse's and Sodi karts all lined up and these karts have proved money well spent. They have completed over 1000 laps between them in past week with plenty more to come before the testing ban deadline is enforced. The feedback from the drivers and mechanics on the circuit has been very positive.

Seasoned UK karting ace and three-time Le Mans 24hr winner Dan Parker has joined the organising team as the event approaches. Impartially, he declared after his first session, "The circuit is fantastic! With its long straights and variety of fast, sweeping bends and tricky, off-camber corners it really is the ultimate test of a driver's skill and ability. The first corner at the Finals is going to be mad; I'm looking forward to collecting some souvenirs."

The Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals is taking place between 19th and 26th November 2011, with the last day for Grand Finals drivers to practice being Friday 28th October.
